自転車の交通ルールを今一度確認してください
いつも Uber Eats 配達パートナーとしてご稼働いただき、ありがとうございます。
このたび、配達パートナーの、悪質な自転車の交通ルール違反（首都高速道路を自転車で走行した）を確認しました。TV を始めメディアでも報道され、ご覧になった方もいらっしゃるかもしれません。
該当の方はすでに特定され、首都高速道路を走行していた際、Uber Eats の配達を行っていなかったことが判明しておりますが、ガイドラインに基づき対応を行っています。
首都高速道路は自動車専用道路に位置づけられており、自転車による通行や侵入は法令により禁止されています。なにより、様々な大きさの車両が速い速度で行き交う高速道路を自転車で走行する行為は大変危険であり、致命的な交通事故を引き起こす可能性があります。
このような法律違反行為は、Uber Eats コミュニティ ガイドラインに反するため、例え交通ルールを知らなかったことが原因だったとしても、配達パートナーに対するアクセス停止措置の対象となります。アクセス停止措置が取られると、Uber Eats で配達パートナーを行うことが永久的にできなくなります。
皆様の安全のため、ぜひ今一度交通ルールをご確認いただき、事故がないよう心がけていただけますようお願いします。
なお、Uber Eats の配達では、スマートフォンを使う機会が多くなります。走行中に注文内容や地図を確認したくなったら、まずは自転車を安全な場所に停止させ、それから確認するようにしましょう。スマートフォン専用ホルダーなどを活用することもお薦めしています。
また、自転車をご利用の方は、 Uber ドライバーアプリ内のルートの設定が「徒歩」になっているか今一度ご確認をお願いします。（「徒歩」に設定していないと、Uber ドライバーアプリから Google マップに移動した際、高速道路を使うルートが表示されてしまうことがあります。）

Please Review the Traffic Rules for Bicycles
Thank you for providing services as Uber Eats delivery partner.
As you may have heard already, we have recently confirmed the violation of bicycle traffic rules by our delivery partner, which has been reported on TV and other media outlets.
The person in question has already been identified and it was learned that he was not making an Uber Eats delivery when he was traveling on the Metropolitan Expressway, but the action is being taken under the guidelines.
The Metropolitan Expressway is designated as automobile-only, and bicycling and trespassing are prohibited by law.
Above all, riding a bicycle on a highway, with vehicles of all sizes driving at high speeds, is very dangerous and can cause a fatal traffic accident.
Such violations of the law are against Uber Eats Community Guidelines and therefore subject to access suspension actions against delivery partners, even if they were caused by a lack of knowledge of traffic rules.
Once the access suspension action is taken, you will be permanently unable to continue providing services as delivery partner with Uber Eats.
For everyone’s safety, please take the time to check the traffic rules and try to avoid any accidents.
During Uber Eats deliveries, you use your smartphone frequently.
If you want to check your order or map while riding, stop your bike in a safe place first and then check it.
Alternatively, we recommend that you use a special holder for your smartphone.
Also, if you are using a bicycle, please make sure that the Navigation setting in the Uber driver app is set to “Walking”. (If you don’t set it to “Walking,” you may see a route that uses the highway when you navigate to Google Maps from the Uber driver app.)
Uber Eats will continue to work with law enforcement agencies and related businesses across the country to raise awareness of road safety for delivery partners.
